Tati’s Mediterranean Saveau will feature a range of Lebanese favorites, co-owner Heidi Nammour said.
WEST FARGO – The flavors of Lebanon are coming to The Lights complex south of Interstate 94
Tati’s Mediterranean Saveur, a nearly 2,900-square- foot restaurant, will be going into 3150 Sheyenne St., Unit B, between the Bar Down restaurant and the Jade + Jasper Boutique.
Owners Tatiana Samaha and Heidi and Dr. Fadel Nammour are planning to have the Lebanese restaurant open by late November, Heidi Nammour said Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Fadel Nammour, a local gastroenterologist, convinced his sister to leave Delaware to open a restaurant here. Tati’s will focus on Mediterranean flavors, Heidi Nammour said.
“It’s been a dream of hers to open up a restaurant,” she said of her sister-in-law. “My husband wanted to bring this type of cuisine here” as well.
The menu will include favorites such as meat, cheese and spinach pies, falafel, shawarma, grape leaves, chicken kebabs and other entrees, tabbouleh salads and three types of hummus. Wine and beer will be available.
The restaurant will also have pastries including baklava, cakes, and other Lebanese sweets.
“We’re excited,” Heidi Nammour said.
The cost of remodeling and fit-up for the space is estimated at $350,000, said Mark Housh, administrator of the city’s Building Inspections Department. The eatery will also have a patio space, he said.
West Fargo-based EPIC Companies created The Lights development, which includes mixed-use commercial and apartment buildings and a multi-use plaza south of Interstate 94.
“I think it will just be different, another option for the community,” said McKenzy Braaten, spokewoman for EPIC.
“It’s all about that live, work and play” in a walkable area, Braaten said. “Go to a dinner and go to a concert. It’s always been a very active and lively space over there and this will just add to that.”
The first phase of The Lights opened in spring 2020.
