Description:
We are looking to hire skilled cosmetology instructors to teach our students the skills needed to enter the beauty industry. In this role, you will be responsible for learning and adapting the course curriculum, teaching students the various cosmetology skills, setting tests, grading work, and mentoring students.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Learning and adapting the course curriculum
- Setting out lesson plans
- Ordering stock supplies for each course
- Teaching students the skills of the beauty trade
- Setting out written and practical tests
- Grading tests
- Mentoring students and providing emotional support
- Overseeing examinations and final practical tests
- Providing course feedback to the college
Qualifications:
- ND State Boards of Cosmetology Certification
- Previous work experience as a Cosmetology Instructor preferred
- 3+ years working as a Cosmetologist
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Patience and understanding

Frequently requires:
- Standing for up to 1 hour at a time
- Use of color vision and ability to distinguish colors
- Ability to communicate orally and hear/understand oral communication
- Ability to utilize fine motor skills, reach and grasp
Occasionally requires:
- Standing for up to 4 hours
- Stooping and bending
- Moving from one workstation to another
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position works in an environment with few physical discomforts; may occasionally be exposed to drafts, noise, temperature variations and odors.
